Nelisa is an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist with experience in delivering
personalised, one-on-one holistic therapy for children navigating the autism spectrum,
ADHD, developmental disorders and behavioural challenges. She is passionate about
empowering children and fostering their holistic growth.
With proficiency in implementing tailored ABA therapy plans, her focus lies in nurturing
positive behavioural changes, while enhancing both communication and life skills. She is
experienced in employing positive reinforcement strategies and behaviour modification
techniques to address behaviour and aggression concerns, as well as tackling sensory
hypersensitivities common in children on the autism spectrum and ADHD, using sensory
integration therapy.
Additionally, her role extends to the inclusive school program as a Special Needs Educator,
implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) that align with the Ontario curriculum.
These plans are tailored to foster learning experiences conducive to accommodating diverse
learning needs.
Her approach involves closely collaborating with parents to support and create a unified front
throughout the therapeutic journey of their children.
Nelisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Hons) with Distinction from Taylor’s
University, Malaysia. She is proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu.
