Kee Joey

Joey is a full-time life enthusiast as well as a mental health and special needs advocate.​

She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (Hons) from the University of Sheffield and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from UKM. She has practiced in UKM health clinic, Hospital Rehabilitation Cheras (Paediatric department) and Hospital Selayang under the Psychiatric department.

Joey is currently practicing in several private psychiatric clinics, child development and psychological centres. Throughout the years, she has worked with people from all walks of life. She is experienced in running group therapy and managing individual clinical cases with children, adolescents, adults and elderly with a wide range of issues from neurodevelopmental disorders to psychiatric disorders.

 Her main therapeutic modality is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) but she also incorporates humanistic approaches depending on clients’ needs. In addition, she is undergoing Play and Expressive Art Therapy training under the American Association of Play (APT), Group Psychotherapy training under the American Group Psychotherapy Association, Early Denver Start Model Training, Applied Behaviour Analysis Technician® (ABAT®) training as well as Marriage and Family Therapy Training.
